THE EDGE OF NO ESCAPE by Ox Zerox
The indie publishing exhibit I organized for Balt Book Fest turned out really nice. I got a lot of excellent stuff sent in and over the next few weeks will try to post images from some of my favorites.
By far the zine that was singled out the most and also happened to be my favorite contribution to the exhibit, was made by a French artist who goes by the name Ox Zerox. The zine consists of found photos that he rescued from a flea market. The images are of 80s french punks and live music shots from the time period. It’s all very raw and dare I say it, even charming and the kid on the cover is unbearably cute (pictured).
OX’s collage zine is called Control Freak. It has tons of personality and I really like the two that he’s put out. Both of these zines are well worth checking…you can find them HERE.
